Elinor maintains a shadow career as a knitting pattern designer while attending medical school at The Ohio State University. An obligate knitter, her white coat invariably contains a half-knitted sleeve poking out of one of its pockets. Known for intricate stranded motifs and cabled textures, she loves reviving traditional stitch patterns and applying them to modern shapes.

Her work has been published by Blue Sky Alpacas, Interweave Knits, Knitscene, PopKnits, Twist Collective, Vogue Knitting, and Yarn Forward, and has also appeared in the books Knitting Scarves from Around the World and Vogue Knitting Hats & Mittens. Elinor lives in Ohio with her husband, daughter, and son.
